IPL hair removal works by targeting the pigment in your hair follicle to create destruction at the root of the hair to damage and destroy the bloody supply that feeds (grows) your hair. That's why IPL and Laser only works on hair with a darker pigment. It doesn't work on blonde, grey or red hair. We also offer SHR which is incredible and a great way to tailor your treatment tp get even better results than we previously could.

Alma’s Super Hair Removal (SHR) method works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles and prevents re-growth, while avoiding injury to the surrounding tissue. The sweeping In-Motion™ technique used with SHR involves moving the applicator repeatedly over the treatment area, applying energy over a large grid. This ensures a homogeneous coverage during the treatment  

which significantly improves results. 

The general rule we use is 6-8 treatments on the body and 10-12 treatments on the face. Facial hair removal and reduction can be an ongoing process. Because usually hair growing in that area is hormonally driven you will need to maintain regular top up treatments after your course.

Maintenance treatments on the body are anywhere between 1-2 treatments a year after your completed course. Depending the individual.
