Dye-VL and Dye-SR are advanced skin treatments that utilize Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) energy to address various skin concerns and improve the overall complexion.

Dye-VL stands for Dye Variable Pulsed Light. It is a safe and non-invasive procedure that specifically targets cells with excessive superficial melanin or haemoglobin in order to reduce visible skin issues such as redness (erythema), rosacea, dilated capillaries, and skin discoloration. By selectively treating these problem areas, Dye-VL helps to restore a more even and balanced skin tone.

On the other hand, Dye-SR, which stands for Dye Skin Rejuvenation, is another IPL-based treatment offered. Similar to Dye-VL, it uses Intense Pulsed Light energy to address common skin concerns such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, uneven skin tone, and hyperpigmentation.

Both DYE VL and DYE SR handpieces use advanced fluorescent technology (AFT) which utilises the energy that would otherwise go unused and converts this to energy that can be distributed evenly, meaning that even low treatment settings can be very effective at treating and managing a variety of conditions, while minimizing the risk of adverse effects that can usually be associated with other forms of energy.

Once the target chromophore has been determined (either melanin for pigment or Haemoglobin for veins and redness) it will be treated using the DYE VL or DYE SR handpiece while keeping surrounding tissue intact. The target is destroyed and is broken down by the body and gradually filtered out over time.

We offer individual treatments, but we recommend starting off with a course. Most people achieve results after 1 session but best results after 3, these will be spaced 2-3 weeks apart.
